GSK Malaysia’s Summit Heroes reach new heights for Save the Children

It’s not every day that someone gets to be a hero, but for 20 employees of GSK Malaysia, they had a chance to be one.

As part of global partnership between GSK and Save the Children, 20 GSK Malaysia employees or ‘Summit Heroes’ embarked on a journey to scale Malaysia’s highest peak – Mount Kinabalu – to raise funds to help the lives of children in some the world’s poorest countries.

Drawing inspiration from GSK’s global volunteering programme, ‘Trek for Kids’, GSK Malaysia formed the ‘Summit Climb’ initiative which involved employees across the company’s four business units (Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Business Service Centre and Global Manufacturing Service) to engage in a range of fundraising activities.

To date, the ‘Summit Heroes’ have raised over RM 32,000 for Save the Children, which, as a token of support, has been matched and donated by GSK Malaysia.
